  • Acupuncture is a safe, effective healing practice that originated in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It involves inserting very thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate your body’s natural ability to heal, restore balance, and relieve pain.

  • Acupuncture works by influencing the body’s energy flow—often called Qi (pronounced “chee”)—and supporting healthy circulation, nerve signaling, and hormonal balance. From a modern medical perspective, it helps regulate the nervous system, improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and release endorphins (your body’s natural painkillers).

  • Acupuncture can support a wide range of health concerns, including:

    • Chronic or acute pain (neck, back, joints, headaches)

    • Stress, anxiety, and sleep issues

    • Digestive imbalances

    • Hormonal and menstrual concerns

    • Allergies and sinus issues

    • Fatigue and immune support

    • Recovery from injury or surgery

(Note: Treatment plans are personalized to each patient’s unique needs.)

  • Yes. When performed by a licensed practitioner, acupuncture is extremely safe. Sterile, single-use needles are always used, and treatments are customized to your comfort level and health history.

  • Most patients feel little to no discomfort. You may notice a brief, mild sensation when the needle is inserted—often described as a light pinch, tingle, or warmth. Many people find treatments deeply relaxing and even fall asleep during sessions.

  • Your first session includes a detailed health consultation, discussion of your goals, and an individualized treatment. The needles remain in place for about 20–40 minutes while you rest comfortably. Afterward, you may feel relaxed, centered, and energized.

  • Every person and condition is different. Some notice results after one session, while others benefit from a series of treatments. Your acupuncturist will discuss a personalized treatment plan based on your goals and overall health.

    • Before: Eat a light meal and wear loose, comfortable clothing.

    • After: Drink water, rest if possible, and avoid strenuous activity for a few hours.
You may feel relaxed or slightly drowsy—this is a normal sign of your body recalibrating.

  • Initial visit cost (60-90 minutes): $160 ($150 cash/check)

    Return visit cost (60 minutes): $100 ($95 cash/check)

  • Absolutely. Acupuncture complements many forms of care—including naturopathic medicine, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and physical therapy. It’s an excellent way to enhance healing and reduce stress alongside other approaches.Becuase acupuncture is drugless, it will not interfere with any medications you may be taking. Often people need less pain medication with acupuncture.
